IHG Priority Club Reward Card and points

Does anyone have any experience of using the Priority Club shopping links which award I've had a priority club card for years (no issues) and in an effort to maximise points earned thought I would do some shopping through the associated retailers (only those I would have used anyway) and earn lots of extra points for nothing.
Well, I've followed the rules, only ordering goods fom the companies via the Priority Club link and the goods have all arrived ok but not a single point to my account.
It's 12 weeks since some of these were delivered/paid for and I've had no joy with customer services. they have offered a variety of possible explanations - like - you didn't access it properly - your pc has disables the cookies, you already shopped with that company before so they may decide not to give you points etc etc.
Does anyone have experience (good or bad) of actually getting these points?
