Shred it in a cross-cut shredder.0

Then tear it up and chuck it away."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Just burn the cheque book safest way0

Take it into a Bank of Scotland or Halifax, that way they can cancel the cheques from their system, and also you can be sure that the cheques will be properly disposed of and destroyed.0

You should destroy all documents with name or address or banking/account details on.

The best way to get rid of a cheque book is to eat it, by mastacating hard.:rotfl:0

What danger is there in not shredding? I would tear off the area where a signature could go and put those pieces in one refuse sack and the rest in another. Other than someone knowing someone had a current account with BoS and its sort code and account number (readily available anywhere where you have used a cheque) and separately that there were cheques in your name, what are they going to do with the information?0

Believe me, "they" can do damage with the details, especially when combined with a rummage through the contents of your dustbin while you're out earning a living.
If it has names, addresses or numbers on it, get it shredded when you wish to dispose of it.0
