I wonder if I am the only person who feels this way: Very often, when somebody posts a topic on the Old Style board, the moderator comes along and says, "There's already a thread on that subject!" and then moves the post to that thread. I notice that there are rarely any responses to the new post. Often, the new post isn't…

I agree with the OP. I think just about every time I've asked about specific cooking ideas with ingredients it's been moved into a longer thread which then doesn't get fresh replies. I tend not to do it now, but I did yesterday and it was moved, luckily I'd already decided what to do.
