Luc, I asked my brother (my authority on gaming) and he said that Rock Band is miles better because you can add the microphone, drums and a 2nd guitar whereas Guitar Hero is just one guitar. Hope that helps :)

Thanks Gemmzie - Hubbles isn't fussed about drums or singing and I'm not a big gamer so expanding isn't really an issue I don't think...

I did see a Guitar Hero bundle with drums & mic so maybe there's been an upgrade

That's Guitar Hero World Tour which is fairly new, bro says, and that Rock Band has more add-on games coming out next year than Guitar Hero.

He wants Rock Band and World Tour for Christmas though

That's what I was thinking but was just checking in case someone knew anything different.

    How's the swimming/running coming along?

Thanks for asking, it's going good.... still swimming mondays/fridays before work... and running club at least once (sometimes twice) plus one run at weekend on my own... so doing pretty well.... it's getting to the kinda just gets done stage, no fanfare required, although i do like a pat on the head if there are any going!

Had a wee flurry of weight loss 2 weeks ago, but static again.... hoping it will catch on again soon....

Can you lovely people help me. I want to do a book keeping and accounts course on the open OU but not to sure what course i should start with?
I have looked on the website but i seem to be going round in circles!!
    Many Thanks

Hey hun, i went for a distance learning course on book keeping and found it quite hard to follow and that was with a kinda basic undertanding of ledger work from my day job. I think a basic short course would be a good idea if you can, to see if it is for you....

If you enjoy it then it is worthwhile doing something like that as there are always accountants looking for book keepers.. apparently!

and you can do small business work for them prior to them handing accounts onto accountants, so work is there too....

Or better still if you do develop another talent and want to set up your own business then you have the skills in place to manage your own books, an understanding of VAT and payroll/NI... which is invaluable.

Listen to me, giving it the big spiel! my books haven't been opened for weeks!!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Cant have everything.

I'm sure he will be once he gets used to the idea. Some people just take time to adjust to any changes in the status quo.

    Consider yourself patted. :p

I'm enjoying the pool (I won't dignify it with the word 'swimming' as I spend a lot of time just floating on my back:p ) but long to be able to put my trainers on again. i was browsing the Nike site again the other night which perhaps doesn't help....

Not very MSE but i went with home learning college, cost £900-ish....

    :o:o <embarrassed smilie!

I can't even say it was prelightbulb! as it wasn't, but to be honest i've quite enjoyed it or moreso the experience of studying again. The tutor support is great, and the books are alright... provided you don't go on further than you are ready for... repitition was key to my learning really.... and i did get 100% distinction for my level 1 exam thru ICB which is included in the price (as is Level2, when i get there!!)

Re the OH, he'll not care as long as it doesn't upset his apple cart, Big G was like that, although now he is quite proud of me when my assignments come in and when i passed my exam... so he may change EQ...
