Can i move to different city while on benefits?

I was working for a year but had to stop due to an injury and have been out of work for about 8 months, groan.
I have a degree in science and am currently living in Edinburgh on housing benefit and job seekers allowance(can't find a job in my subject, i could take a general job which is what i will have to do soon i think). I am thinking of moving back to Glasgow where most of my friends are and will hopefully have more luck finding a job in my subject, do you think i will be able to change housing benefit from city to city if i find a place to rent in Glasgow or do you think there will be problems with this from the council?
I am also thinking of starting up my own business in web design but it's going to take a while to get moving hence i still need the benefit for a few months more.. Or maybe i will find another job in Glasgow that pays the rent.
I just have a niggling feeling that the council might think i am moving from place to place and not grant me housing benefit which i am not, the real issue is now is that i miss my frriends in Glasgow! and am getting really lonley here now, it's really starting to affect my helath, depression etc... As i said i haven't been working for a while but mainly due to an injury i picked up but i now really don't feel at home here. I do hope to be working in the next few months...
I just don't want to appear as a 'city hoper' on benefits, but i think i will have a much better chance of doing well in Glasgow now rather than Edinburgh, it's really getting me down.
What do you think?

Yes you can claim in Glasgow, obviously you will have make a new claim for Housing Benefit (Local Housing Allowance for private lets) as it is a different council.0
