I don't personally eat Marmite, I know its one of those things you love or hate.
It will be interesting to see their faces though.0 -
What about a Christmas cake...perhaps with some cheese if you're from Yorkshire.0

We bought a lovely tray with a black and white picture on it of some English scene (sorry I can't remember what it was) for DS's german exchange students family once.

We have lived in France for many years, shortbread biscuits are in all the French supermarkets, as is whisky. Good marmalade, peanut butter, stilton cheese, pickles and a tin of English biscuits always go down well. Wine is difficult as it will probably be given when visiting someone and can be taken the wrong way, your wine is not good so here is some of mine. The idea of a game like Monopoly, which is available in France, is a good one.0

I heard they taste just like chicken, still I would have to politely decline.:D
What is Parkin?
When you say English biscuits do you mean digestives and rich tea?
The mint and cranberry sauces are in 200g jars, will I have a problem getting them on board?0 -
We spend half the year in Brittany - our wonderful French neighbours like English tea, bacon, good farmhouse cheddar cheese or in fact any interesting cheeses, rich fruit cake, ginger biscuits, shortbread biscuits, single malt whisky and English chinaware eg cake stands, cups & saucers ..
Hope this helps and that you enjoy your holiday.
