after a long flight I was talked into an upgrade I didnt want and as it turned out I didnt need. The person made out she was giving me a free upgrade...till we got to handing over the keys. I should have stood my ground at the time...especially after we went out to the car..the smaller size would have been adequate and it was dirty..inside and out.
Anyway I put it down to experience and gave some feedback via their website...
Today, two months later, I checked my credit card statement to find I have been given a refund. I did not give my comments because I was looking for recompense I just wanted to let them know how their staff were conducting business.
So thank you Dollar....but I learnt a lesson too..

You should have refused the car at the time. When I hired from Dollar in Florida they gave me the keys and told me if I was at all unhappy they would swop it. I went to car park and didn't like the colour, it was green (and I think green cars are unlucky) so they happily swopped it for a silver one. After a few days it developed a rattle so they changed it again with a full tank of petrol at no extra cost.
