Halifax Regular Saver NOminated account HSBC?

Options
Hi

I have a few grand sitting in HSBC's bonus online saver (Currently at around 3.25%?)

Was looking at Halifax's Regular Saver (7.00% Fixed)

Ive only ever been with HSBC, Can i open this account online without a current account with Halifax and have my nominated account as my account in HSBC?

When/If i close the Halifax one all the funds are transfered to a nominated account

Cheers

    YES

NO - your nominated savings account needs to be a Halifax one - you can leave a nominal balance in it eg £1. That said your standing order payment can come from HSBC.

When/If i close the Halifax one all the funds are transfered to a nominated account
The capital and interest goes in to the nominated account on maturity and a new Regular Saver account automatically commences unless you stop your standing order. You should make a point of review the suitability of your nominated account at this stage!
Hope the answers help! It's also an easy account to get out of if you don't last the year, although the rate paid drop to 3.56%.

The nominated account must be a Halifax savings account, according to...
