Brighton parking
inneed
I recently bagged one of the £19 Travelodge deals in Brighton for two nights. - Hurrah - cheap break! Not until I had paid that I realised there is no parking at the seafront Travelodge, and it is £15 per 24 hours in the NCP car parks. - Boo - not such a cheap break! Anyone any ideas about parking in that area?

Basically there is no free or non permit parking anywhere near the city centre. Your best bet is to park just outside the permit zone. The map here shows your hotel and and the nearest area with free parking, its about a 15 min walk.

Do you really have to drive?no one needs a car in Brighton, you are right in the middle at travelodge.apart from that you could potentially leave the car in some residential road in preston park and get a cab or train0

Thanks both. I'd love to leave the car at home, but to catch a train I would have to drive to the station and leave my car there, so as bad scalded as burnt I think. Was worth looking at though! I think I may go along with danielson81's suggestion. Perhaps just park up at the nearest car park while we unload, then move the car. Really looking forward to a couple of nights away. closer to 30 mins walk.....! (up/down hill)
john street/grove street are good,
or freshfield road
or near preston park (standford avenue area) and catch a bus in.......!
also do not use the russell road car park.... charges are for 15 minute intervals..... use the churchill square car park, pedestrian exit is around the back of the travellodge along russell roadsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Coo...........this is getting complicated! - Anyone want to buy two nights in Brighton??????Always look on the bright side of life ....la la la la la la la la0

the problem you have, is that the hotel is on a busy road for traffic wanting to use the nearby shopping centre, so i am not sure you can even stop temporarily in front of hotel to off load luggage, hence why park in nearby car park, to book in ,then move the car.
most bus services run every 10 minutes during the day and 20 mins in the evenings, but it will depend where you get the bus as to how many different routes convergesmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

why not look at ones of those sites where people let you park on their driveway for x amount per night.
