Smooth Transfer from Bank to Bank

Options
I went into my local Northern Rock on the 15th of this month and filled in an ISA transfer form. It was to be transferred from B & B because their rate had dropped to 3.25%

I received the certificate for my new fixed Northern Rock ISA today.

It took them 10 days from start to finish.

After reading the stories told by people and the problems they had, funds going missing even, I started the process with a little trepidation.
I'm really impressed with the speed and effieciency of the whole process.

Thats jolly good. However I have no ISAs with either of them. I have 1 with Egg, 1 with Barclays, which I want to transfer into 1 in Feb (as thats the earliest time I can fill the Barclays one up).

I would be extremely happy if it all gets done in 2 weeks!

In both the nationalised banks there are job cuts on the horizon so the staff will be very keen to show they are efficient. But to be fair to Northern Rock, they've always run a good postal operation. They turned round my fixed rate bond in one or two days last month.
