What are my rights if a flight is canceled or delayed

I know it's a bit insane but tomorrow I have a flight to Bangkok through Mumbai. My flight is likely to be cancelled. Could anyone give a link to air companies regulations (European and worldwide) what are my rights if the flight is cancelled (e.g. hotel, lunch, refunds etc). Any legal resources are also welcome.
Thanks in advance

What would you like to happen?
i.e. most airlines are being fairly flexible, allowing refunds if their flights are cancelled, or the chance to re-book your flight irrespective of ticket conditions.
Remember though, this is very much force majeure, so out of their hands, so what they offer will be more about goodwill than legal necessity.
I presume you are on Jet Airways 10.00am flight from Heathrow? You need to speak to them URGENTLY if that's the case. The reason being is that as London - Mumbai will not be cancelled, but I doubt you will be allowed to board, as I presume (?) you do not have an Indian Visa. If their office is closed now, speak to them at Heathrow where they will be open (they have a flight tonight to Delhi & Mumbai). They might know already if your flight has been cancelled, and advise you not to travel to Heathrow, and what your options are.
What you shouldn't be doing is second guessing - get on the phone to them asap.0 -

Of course I have done this. The problem is that call-center people do not really know anything so the best way is to appear in Heathrow and try to fly to Mumbay. And yes, I have no Indian visa. So, what will happen then? As far as I know they will have to deliver me to the UK or to Thailand. I do not need exactly Bangkok, some other direwctions like Phuket are also OK. Will I be in a good position to negotiate different direction for the same ticket or they will just force me to buy a new and expensive ticket to Phuket? Then what if say I have no more money?0
