Hi
Can anybody tell me the cheapest was I can get from Malaga Aiport to Sierra Nevada? We are hoping to book a second ski holiday there in February and I have searched many sites to try and find a public bus that we could catch but with no luck. Taxis are costing about £300 plus rtn and I don't want to hire a car just in case the snow is really bad etc. I have even tried looking for trains but can't seem to find one that goes from Malaga to Sierra Nevada. They seem to offer everything from Granada Aiprort and nothing from Malaga unless you going to the seaside resorts! I have contacted the Spanish tourist board but have not had a reply yet. Just wondered if anybody else has been in the same position? Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks

I have done the journey to Sierra in late Jan in the light, there are no trains (grenada which is some way away). We hired a car, and as far as I remember, it was OK ( i wasn't driving mind). Absolutely fine for the first bit, motorway - twisty/climby for the last 40 mins, and bad snow in the resort. We did not have to put snow chains on. We have driven twice before this, first time to pas de la casa (andorra - no probs at all) and after the second time (to Livigno over the Fluelapass no chains on, dark closing, blizzards) I swore I would never ever do it again. Car was like bambi on ice. We had good daytime weather for Sierra, so our experience was quite good. It's further south, so i reckon some of your reservations may be unfounded (it is just wet at the lower levels), but happy to be corrected.
