A&L Faster Payments

I don't know if this has already been covered here but A&L are now processing Faster Payments.

I transferred £10 form my A&L Current account to my Halifax Easycash account early yesterday morning and it was in my Halifax account when I checked just before with yesterday's date. So its working.

Haha yeah I know I transfered £5 into A&L this morning and back again from Natwest to see if it work.

I did a transfer from A&L to my HSBC account this week and was amazed that it was in HSBC account by the time I'd logged out of A&L and into HSBC!

Does anyone know what the limits are on A&L FP by any chance? I may potentially need to move £2500 into my current account at a day's notice and have a choice between Egg and A&L and I'm fairly sure Egg aren't sending FPs yet, only receiving....

I couldn't even send £500 by FP from A&L last Friday, let alone £2,500. :mad:

HSBC, FD, & RBS really are in a class of their own at the moment with up to £10K FP's possible.

A&L FP is less than £100 limit.

Says in the Messages section from within the online accounts that it is £10,000 limit. Or it will be when they have "fully rolled it out by the end of the year".

Bummer, just tried £1000 from A&L and it's not in pending payments but hasn't made it to Halifax yet (when I sent <£100 the other day it arrived immediately) so I suspect it's gone by BACS.

£500 from HSBC went instantly though so will just have to take some cash out and pay it in old-stylee.

The good news however is that the £5000 that's just come out of my Halifax account means that my Tesco cheque has been cashed for the savings account so I qualify for the clubcard points - just in time :T

Depending on when the finds were removed from Halifax you may not be 'in time'.

The Tesco offer T&C's say you need CLEARED funds on 30/11/08 (effectively today!), and your cheque won't 'clear' with Tesco until two days after you see the debit on your Halifax account.

If the funds left Halifax this Wednesday just gone then you'll be OK...any later and you may be unlucky.
