pay off catalogue with CC then pay CC with debit card?

I have a catalogue account which i pay off every time i use it, and have recently gained a credit card too.

Would it be better on ym credit rating and credit card limit if i paid the catalogue with my credit card everytime i use it, then pay off my CC immediately with my debit card? or is there no point in all this and i should just pay off the catalogue with my debit card each month?

i'm trying to get a better credit rating/limit with both providers

Provided there is no penalty for paying the catalogue by credit card then it does sound like a good way to expanding your credit history.
