New 0% BT Card from HSBC applied for in November 2004
26 November tried using it for first time, failed to recognise me (Site Down!)
26 November asked for another password
1 December 2nd password arrived, tried to connect at 17:25, failed!
17:40 rung 'em up, they appear to be having allsorts of problems.
Me, I just want access! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Natwest.
Have tried to apply twice, login details have never been recognised. Given up now.0 -
I hate first direct, just can never remember what the login details are... >:(0

Surely you can make a note of your details somewhere noone else will find, so you can avoid this problem. I now have a few accounts and could not possibly remember them all. Don't wish to be rude, but I think you need to be a little bit organised! Sorry.
Incidentally I do have a First Direct Current Account, only went for the £25 promo deal, for the two of us, and subsequently got their reasonably generous credit card too. On the few occasions I have had to ring them, I've found them exceedingly helpful, friendly and none of this long queueing, press buttons A-Z etc.0 -
Not particularly keen on IF - the bill payment part is particularly cumbersome. >:(0

Halifax
Have managed to open a Websaver for myself, but it refuses to open one for my wife... called their technical helpdesk, even they couldn't do it for her, after taking her details over the phone ;DIt's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0 -
You can hardly blame them for that. If you are connecting from your home PC all you have to do is tick the box that says "would you like to save these details on this computer?", enter your name in the box below and from then on the only thing you have to do to sign on each time is enter 3 letters from your password.I hate first direct, just can never remember what the login details are... >:(
What could be easier than that without making you vulnerable to thieves?0 -
I had an ordeal with Sainsbury's Bank and was convinced that the 'activation' page was faulty. Eventually this worked - it took months in the end and I blame the poor design of their site for failling to alert me to the process - It looked as though it was not accepting my details you see because the page did not obviously 'reload' or change - and there was the message up there at the top of the page - one line in blue rather than red [say] tellng me that the process had worked
Nationwide has a reasonable site - but don't ever submit a mildly intelligent query - and odn't hold your breath waiting for their reply either!.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
