I greatly appreciate your help and advice, as I am not whom I should approach.
I have been in this country for nearly 8 years [working for NHS] and have contributed NI since the day 1. I am planning to leave this country in the next 6 month or so time...
I was told by someone that I can reclaim the NI contribution?
Is it correct? What are plus and minus aspect with this?
Please help.........

Same question with the pension scheme as well!
Is it better cancelling the pension scheme [but was told you wont get refund for more than last 2 years??]
or is there anyway this can be takenover to future employment![I doubt it myself with the system followed at my future employment]
Many thanks in advance!0 -
The person who told you that you can reclaim the NI contribution is wrong. You cannot reclaim any NIC as it has been correctly deducted based on your earnings.
Depending on when you leave the UK, you may be able to apply to HMRC to see if you can claim a tax refund for the tax year in which you leave.0 -

What about pension scheme?
Personal pension? Company pension? It will depend on the individual scheme, you will need to contact the scheme administrators.Gone ... or have I?0
