laptop

My laptop seems to be reaching an end, it is constantly switching itself off when in the middle of doing work, and is also really slow. Is there anywhere that does good deals for students buying laptops?

I bought my last laptop in tesco! It was really cheap and I've had no problems.

Its worth checking them out cause when I was in the other day we had some really good one's in our store.

    Check prices from different places:

    https://www.dabs.com
    https://www.simply.co.uk
    https://www.pcworld.co.uk

Try your local computer shop, they can have good deals and if anything goes wrong they are pretty close to you.

PCWorld, Dixons and Currys are doing a 1.3GHz Advent laptop (256MB RAM, CD&DVD rewriter) for £399. If you find the right code on this site, you can get it for £375 online.

My girlfriend is a student and she got one. I'm quite impressed for the price.
  • i would say apple. i got one second hand but tbh its a 1.2ghz ibook and its faster than my 3.2p4. well worth it, much more stable, got office for mac on it. i was worried switching but deffo next desktop will be an imac

avoid advent at all costs!! they've got terrible build quality. Will probably have to go back about 5 times! Sometimes there are even queues of people bring back advent laptops in pc world.
