As already posted, it's still worth checking the reduced section - I found 2 x TD Masks which were reduced from £6 to £3 so using 2 vouchers got them free. I bought them at 2 separate tills though! Absolutely zilch on the EA front though. I have yet to spot any of the candles or pulse points at any of the Boots I've been to.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

Mentioned last week I’d thought how to fully utilise your TD £5 off vouchers if you’ve either missed out so far or just have a few vouchers left.
This is not 100% guaranteed, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t work. Loads of people are probably doing it already, but for those of a more innocent nature…
I think some people are losing out by not using their vouchers just because they can’t get anything for £5 or less. Instead try to find the next cheapest item over £5 and buy that instead to use up your vouchers. Then take that item back to Boots and exchange it when the TD shelves are re-stocked. You could even try to exchange it for a non-TD product if they’ll let you.
In the TD range the next cheapest item would be the Eye Brightener @ £5.50, Line Smoother @ £5.50 and the Body Lotion @ £7.00.
If you permanently carry a TD item plus receipt in your bag, whenever you see something you want in Boots, it’s there ready to be exchanged!
On the back of any Boots till receipt it states that if you “change your mind” about an item, they will “happily give you an exchange, giftcard or refund”. As you’ve used a money-off voucher, I’d be surprised if you got a cash refund for the voucher valuebut don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to exchange the item. (I’ve already exchanged TD products for other TD products myself).
If you haven’t got a receipt, Boots state that they will still give you an exchange.
Boots’ return policy has some exceptions that are not valid for exchanges – one of these is returned “cosmetics” (for safety reasons). I’ve checked with Boots Customer Care as to whether skincare products (though I didn’t mention Time Delay in particular) are classed as “cosmetics” and was told they are actually classed as “beauty products” and therefore suitable for exchange.
When returning the items, if you get a Sales Assistant or Store Manager with an attitude, remember that each Time Delay product also carries a money back guarantee if you’re “not entirely happy with it”. So even if they refuse you an exchange, you can still mention this money back guarantee, and at the very least I presume you’d definitely get back the cash you paid for the item (excluding value of voucher), although unsure how this would work if you don’t have your receipt?
Besides, it’s actually in Boots own interests that you just exchange an unused product you’ve changed your mind about, as if you return it as “tried and unhappy with”, then Boots are left with used returned stock that they can’t then re-sell.
As a general rule, don’t exchange one TD item for two TD items and pay the difference in cash, as that way you’re reducing the value of the £5 off offer. (For example, exchanging a £5.50 product for 2 products at £4.00 each and then paying the difference of £2.50 in cash means you’ve changed the offer to something like a BOGOF offer rather than a FREEBIES offer!)
The best (and rather cheeky!) deal would be to exchange 2 x £5.50 items at once for say the £10 moisturisers – you may have to get something else to ensure the goods you’re getting are of an equal or higher value than those you’re returning. This way you could get a TD £10 product for the equivalent of a quid and you’d also get the £3 off haircare voucher for spending over £10.
In case all of the above fails, it’s obviously best to get something that you’d use if you were later unable to exchange the item.
Hope the above helps someone, don’t shout if it doesn’t!

I have`nt gone mad with the £5 vouchers even though I have had a few things but I have taken advantage of the bogof on the Botanics range if I have seen any on the reduced stand and have now got quite a good stock of lotions and potions on the shelf, they will probably last me all year. and its even better if you get the £3 shampoo voucher!
I wonder what the next vouchers will be for? :rolleyes:0 -
i havent gortm mad either, ive gone on a 'leave a fair few for others' policy:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

I personaly think this is a little dishonest. I couldn't go through with it would feel too guilty!!
I am interested to know what others think on the subject.
Plus, I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning lolThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I'm all for loopholes and personally don't feel any hint of guilt in visiting Boots EVERY time I'm in town to use yet another voucher, lol but I think you have to draw the line somewhere.
Although technically bham-dave's idea may well work given Boot's return policy, I think doing this is not just taking advantage of a companie's badly thought out promotion.....it is also kicking them in the teeth while your doing it.
Imo, doing this kind of thing may well be the deed that kills the golden goose and Boots may tighten up their offers and promos drastically once they realise just how much of a ride they are being taken for.
Just my opinion I hasten to add, and I make no judgement on those who don't agree with it. :beer:Herman - MP for all!0
