    Hello,

Just been to Boots in Sudbury and got the last pack of TD wipes. Went to the stroppy SA who told me last time that the Manager was going mad and it was only one voucher per customer. I'm sure the SA are just jealous so they didn't know about the vouchers. I wonder if the staff have been told that they're not allowed any Freebies.

Looks like its coming to an end. I'm so pleased that I've stocked up! Gave my friends a bag of TD goodies each the other day.

I went into the city today to see if there was more choice for me to choose from in the td. I was right, there were many more products to choose from, but every thing there was over £5, all the cheaper stuff was gone, so i chose instant eye brightener at £5.50. It was the last one on the shelf, they had heaps of higher priced products, and heaps of the DR stuff as well.

It was a really large store compared to my local, so I am going back to my local tommorrow as there were loads of wipes and a couple of other things for under £5, I don't think anyone else in my town has sussed out this offer!!

    :-)

So armed with 3 DR vouchers I chose some lovely expensive DR reduced to a £5 it sounded lovely.

I took them to the friendly SA but her colleague came up, went off to see the Manager I presume and came back to say that they DO NOT allow these vouchers against the reduced price/sale items and that I could not use my 3 vouchers. They didn't have much DR/TD stock anyway and the SA advised that their policy is now only one voucher per customer and they have a notice up now.
Could you phone up Boots Customer Services (tel no on back of any receipt) and asks if this stance is correct? If it's not, they could then inform the store of their error in not allowing vouchers on reduced DR.

Glad to hear your TD woman is still on guard, she sounds a real trooper! :D

I think if you are polite to the SA you will get a much better response than if you aren't polite and try to take the p**S

so how do you fully use your vouchers without any under £5 stuff left?!
I wasn't trying to be all mysterious last night!

Sadly, if you suggest a way to help those who've missed out because a few people have been clearing 100s of items at a time, those same greedy people will seize upon your suggestion, and again loads miss out.

But for people who've only got say 10 to 20 vouchers left to use, if we can help them fully utilise the vouchers in the last few days of the offer, that can only be fair, surely?

Good idea bham-dave - I was hoping that my 3 fellow MSEs from Cardiff could advise if they had the same problem, as I know they were going there yesterday/today.

I am told that the Manager at this store in Cardiff Bay is abit of a pain so yes maybe I will do that in the morning and see what they say.

TBH I am new to the Boots offers etc but the SA at Cardiff Bay had said that too many people had gone to that store and cleared the shelves so the Manager set his own policy. She said that emails are flying all around the stores regarding these offers and that another recently (but finished) offer on a brand of shampoo was another HUGE mistake by Boots ??

At the end of the promotion I think the TD lady deserves a chair...... well she'll be worn out by then !!! :rotfl:

theres only 12 days left so we all might as well help each other get the best out of those 12 days huh? :)

  • Went into my local boots today and they had nothing left for under a fiver in fact the cheapest they had was £8 stuff. I had a good hunt around and found that they had put the TD handcream with all the others and there were quite a few left. So gave my mum a voucher and the box and sent her on her way to the till while i got another box and some other bits. She was so chuffed that she got to try it for free although she kept saying "they cant be giving you it for free!!" :rotfl:

I'm off to Lincoln tomorrow - not just for TD stuff honest! ;):o and wondered if anyone had been in there and if they had a good range of stuff (really wanting the toner to make up some mother's day gifts for me (from 3 ds),mum and m-i-l) or if the DR stuff was reduced ???

Our two other smaller branches had loads of leaflets left but if staff are removing the cheaper stuff not sure if anyone will want these vouchers ??
    Brendan's new dance partner...please :D
