Hiya,
Some of you may of seen my topic on here already
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1262651
and hopefully will know what this is about, if not you will be able to read a shorter version of the story on the link to the petition.
Basically it is a petetion to the prime minister to make it law that all councils must do as much as they can to reunite dead animals they have collected with their owners. It is explained in much more detail on the petition.
Please sign, and get anybody you know to do the same!

I know exactly how you feel hun one of my cats got run over outside my house and I feel lucky that I was the one that found her. Six months later one of my other cats went missing and to this day I've not found out what happened to her ( I know the council wouldn't call me even if they found her and they have a record of me calling them about her).
I leave this message purely because I think you should think about making a facebook group for your petition. If you don't want to do it yourself let me know and I'll set one up to help boost the number of people that sign it. Good luck whatever you decide hun, it might not seem like it now but it does get easier and the smiles when you think about your beloved baby will return!;)1st Aim = Pay off Virgin CC - £3929.110 -

Yes! Great idea! Wouldn't of thought of that.
I've started a group

Hope thats the right link, never made a group before. Please invite all your friends. As I've said in the original topic, I've got to get at least 200 signatures for the government to even look at it.0 -
I've signed. I feel very strongly about this too. One of my cats has been missing since easter, hes chipped, we lost him about 4 miles from home, coming out of vets, he escaped from his carrier, hes ferral and was terified, oh had no chance of catching him as I was the only one that could pick him up, how I wish I had delayed his vet visit until I could have taken him myself. Its very upsetting wondering what did happen to him, if he had been run over, I'd rather know.

Thanks both of you.
Sue, I really feel sorry for you. Although these last three weeks have been awful since Lexi died, it would have been even worse not knowing, always wondering where she was and if she was still alive.
Just edited the original post to add that it's really important you confirm your signature in the email they send you or it doesn't get added.0 -

Lexilex, have you thought about writing to your MP and/or local paper as well? I believe online petitions don't always get the attention they deserve, and making as much noise about this as possible can only be a good thing
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
