Hi all
I bought a second hand xbox from a friend some time ago which had already been opened so no warranty. Last week I got the dreaded RROD.
So instead of sending it to MS, I decided to buy a kit from eBay to fix. I did this last night and did manage to get the XBox working briefly. So once I got it to boot, I turned it off and put the case all back together again.
However, when I turned it on, all I get now is the RROD straight away and the fans no longer spin like they used to. They start spinning for about 0.5 secs then stop when the RROD happens.
Have I totally killed it now? I've taken the console apart again and double checked all connections etc. Still does it.
Any ideas?
