New year fancy dress party help!!

Hi there

We have been invited to a fancy dress party over xmas, the theme is "anyone famous" past or present. I am looking for some insparation!

I have a more fuller figure and just cant seem to think of anyone to go as. I am looking for very cheap ideas, it would be for my husband and myself. I can just put a power rangers outfit on my 6 year old son ;) and my 2 year old will be in anything she lets me put on her :rotfl: :rotfl:

Any ideas?

Thank s
Sylvia

If you or your husband are at all technically minded then you might be interested in this. I found this amazing costume too late for hallowe'en but I'm definitely doing this next time there's a fancy dress party!

There are loads and loads of costume ideas on the site so if that one doesn't take your fancy try searching for others.

Well Sylvia, how full is "fuller figure"?

    I'm feeling rather nervous here.
Urh, I was thinking Hattie Jacques as Matron and a patient.

Pity the children are going or you could have been Pat Butcher and your OH
Frank, with the revolving bow tie.
    Just the revolving bow tie.
Everyone here would have been shouting "piccies please, we want piccies"

Suppose now you'll say that fuller figure means size 14, and I'll cringe with embarrasment.

ETA, if you google "fancy dress ideas for the fuller figure", there are loads of them.

:T great ideas, I am about a size 16 (ish) on a very good day, comfortable 18.. I have been having a good old think about it, so far I have come up with princess fiona from shrek  My husband is thinner so I would think that the frank butcher option is out - although very good!! I mentioned tonight about us all going as teletubbies (my youngests favourite at the moment) :rotfl: :rotfl: didnt go down too well...I also mentioned that my hubby could go as little britain "im a laayydeeee" although I didnt get much of a response other than a raised eyebrow....
Will let you know if I think of anymore... My son wants to go as frank lampard lol

Those costumes are brilliant value, don't know how they manage those prices. Even if the fabric is cheap rubbish it's the time to make them that's costly.
There's a lot of work in, I think it was the can can dancer costume, the one with a lace corset.
