anyone have views on the Santander share purchase scheme wher eyou can buy shares next month commission free ?

you need to consider
1. is it time to buy shares ? no one knows
2. if it is, is Santander the right share to buy ? The fact you can buy them commission free should only represent a very small part of your reason to buy them rather than another companies shares

If you are already a share holder you will be able to purchase them next month and should receive notification and instructions. The share offer however is not an open one, Santander claim this is because the time period is such as to exclude this!0

Hi all, so was the general consensus that it was an idea to consider buying the santander shares ? My father has just said he has been sent the invitation as he held Alliance and Leicester shares. I think it is worth his while but have said not to overstretch himself - don't think he is thinking about buying that many.
