help: 3g PDA phone used without 3g!

OK I'm a bit thick with this.

I want a new phone but I don't need a contract and I don't need 3G.

I have an old orange phone and sim.

I'm looking at buying an Orange SPV M3100 a 3g smart phone with bells and whistles. 2nd hand of course.

I have a question.

Will it work with my orange PAYG sim? Some egg head must have already tried this.

Any other problems I should expect.

Hi there and welcome to Money Saving Expert!!!

I have a similar phone which i bought of ebay and yes , it should work perfectly fine with the payg sim card. Also , ring up orange for the mms and browser settings , they are very good and tell you step by step!!

Now when you say you don't need 3G the phone automatically comes with it but that does not effect your query at all.

Also , if you do buy this phone there is a way to unlock it to all networks for free aswell. which is perfectly legal, i think.?
