i want to buy gift cards for presents to give to people...then they choose the charity that they donate to.
does anyone know where i can buy something like this?!?

Not exactly, but ... if you open a CAF account, you get a 'cheque book', you could give a cheque to your friends and let them choose which charity it goes to.
I will wait and see if anyone knows of actual gift cards where the recipient can choose where the money goes!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

It seems to offer what you're looking for, the recipient gets to choose which charity gets the money from a list of more than 100 charities.0 -

However it inspired me to go and have a proper look, and CAF do actual vouchers! then there's Charity Vouchers, although I think CAF might be better because I don't think they charge extra for buying them (haven't tried so might be wrong!)Signature removed for peace of mind0
