Dell W2600 26" LCD TV - FAULTY REMOTE

Has anyone had any problems with their remote control for the Dell W2600 26" LCD TV as mine has decided to play up today and the buttons work only when they want to.
Cannot think what the problem is apart from the remote is faulty
I have emailed https://www.aria.co.uk who I purchased the TV from and will phone them tomorrow to see how they go about sorting the problem out as on my invoice it says "1 year next day swap" but don't know if that only applies to the TV and not the remote
