Where to put £20k?

Having just put in my claim for m money I would like to put 20k in a fixed term account for about 1 year. Any ideas where would be best? I am over 50 and my husband is a higher tax payer although I can invest this in my name. I've looked at the tables and ICICI is there but having been stung once through Icesave I'd like something a little closer to home!
