  • I don't think its fair to say people are being greedy?

They followed the terms of a promotion / competition and these terms are not being adhered to.

If you don't get a free ipod you should be more than disappointed you should be asking why, you followed the rules and that's the whole point of it.

I do have to agree that moaning about not getting a frisby / mug is a bit OTT but I also get the feeling that they were tongue in cheek comments in the first place.

Your case seems to be different to most of those complaining in that you were already a Qype member and signed up for the challenge through an e-mail link.

I signed up for the challenge through the banner that was promoted on here - and, like I said, I completed the 50 reviews mid November. I haven't heard if I've got a voucher yet, but the original T&C's said by 10th December, so I'll not panic yet.

In your case, I would take it up with Qype - if you followed the link, then I would think that you are entitled to the voucher.

The Amazon vouchers were limited to 500 people - but then I believe they were increased to 1000 people.
I honestly can't believe the greed of some people on here - You've got your £50 Amazon voucher (which I haven't received or been definitely told that I am getting yet, despite completing my reviews in plenty of time) and you have mostly also been told that you'll get an ipod and some of you have the cheek to complain that you won't be getting a frisbee or a mug!??!
You lot really are hard to please!

I couldn't afford to buy an ipod, so if I get mine, I'll be so happy. I'd love to get my amazon voucher too, so that I could buy a new digital camera, as mine as recently broken.
If I don't get it, I'll be disappointed (especially as some greedy people on here have got them and I'm not sure they all deserve them!!) but I'll be grateful for the ipod.

As for the people complaining that they're not receiving responses to their e-mails....I'm guessing that the Qype staff are pretty busy checking all the reviews to verify your amazon vouchers - give them a break! It might take them a little longer to reply to messages.

    There - rant over.
Some people should just be grateful for what they've got!!

Hey ill give you a tenner for a bit of work

Actually i gave that tenner to the pizza guy cos i was pretty hungry.
Its not greed its the fact that you did something for something in return, its only right that they give you what's yours.
Admittidly i'm pretty happy with an ipod and £50 Amazon voucher for a day's work and i wont make a big deal of it but nevertheless they should still give something in return.

I am really pleased with this promotion. I have received and spent my 50 quid anything else I get will be an added bonus.

But they are giving something in return.....your £50 amazon voucher and an ipod.... so I'm not really sure where your arguement is?
You've been paid for the work that you did - but you don't have a mug or a frisbee......

Anyway - I'm not about to get into another arguement about it - forums are for people to post their opinions, and I did.

But if we spoke of everything in monetary value, its like your employer saying heres £40 not £50. I wouldnt turn around and say, well £40's fine, you can make it £20 next week.

    I'm sorry that isnt right.
Again dont get me wrong im not going on a mad rampage, heck i havent even bothered sending an e-mail to say im disappointed but its the principle. However im pretty sure i will JUST live without it, but only just :p

That was my point exactly, it is the principle of it that's disappointing.

And to whoever mentioned greed, that's a little mean really - I didn't sign up for the amazon voucher thing because they had a limited amount, I knew I wouldn't use it and didn't want to take it away from someone who could, so I don't get the greed comment in the slightest.

However I'm not trying to argue, I'm merely stating my opinion, and in the spirit of the rule "Be Nice To All Moneysavers" I will leave it at that.

MrsChips - that'd be a great idea, chances are they're so swamped they won't be able to get peoples rewards out until after Xmas anyway so that would work out well - may even give them a little bit of a rest over the Christmas period as well!

Oh yes, and has anyone been readin the reviews of MSE on Qype - I assume that was people from MSE! I'm sure Martin is blushing at all the praise he's received on there :D

  • Well I finished my reviews on 29th November and got my £50 Amazon vouchers today. I'm really pleased with this offer - it didn't take up much time, was pretty fun to do and I got £50 vouchers for my effort. Can't complain at that. It is one of the best offers that I have taken up for a long time. Working towards the ipod now.

Still haven't received mine and I'm driving myself nuts checking my emails to see if it's arrived :(
  • Couldn't give a toss about the frisbee, and could spend some of the £50 voucher on a mug from Amazon, if necessary.

I have no complaints. I've been in a position to blow an extra £50 on my parents for Christmas. They deserve it. Any goodies that arrive for me are a nice extra. Even if it's only a tshirt and bag of Haribo. And I've read somewhere (can't remember where) that if things are missing from the goody box, they make it up with something equally appealing.
