Ps
If you look in a little magazine which came with the shopping in the middle there is a calender with dates on.0 -
you can get to the later dates but its pointless people were getting their dates cancelled last night.0

Have just spoken to Customer Services about this because I am hopping that I cannot book past 16th December even though I get a delivery once a week and spend over £100 each time.
Apparently, I am not one of their top customers (they are after only the top 10%) so I don't qualify to book a slot early.
So if you are, like me, in the bottom 90% of customers of Tescos, they apparently don't care for your business or at least, this is what their policy says to me.
Every little helps as they say! (I will remember this when I am dragging round a (different) supermarket on Christmas Eve with 3 small children in tow!0 -
I wouldn't be surprised if "priority" shoppers were the ones who rarely shop with Tesco and this is just something to entice them over. I spend a lot with Tesco (Direct, groceries, daily lunches at work) and neither myself or the other person linked on my Clubcard has been offered this. I wonder if they knew how many people they would upset when they started this little plan!!0

I would have never counted myself as a 'priority' shopper. Spend about 30-40 every week for the last 7-8 months. So nothing out of the ordinary, so seems very hit and miss.0

I think that rather than 'reward' their top 10% of customers who apparently already spend loads with them, what Tesco has achieved is a very cheesed off 90% of shoppers who may well now do their Christmas shop elsewhere. Myself included.
Not the best PR exercise methinks.0 -

I agree, I don't think they are going to target shoppers whose habits show that they will probably do their shopping there anyway, never mind I'll just have to try and be more organised and do a bit each day for a couple of weeks before :beer:0 -
hi
i shop with them almost every week, would not have thought i came into the top 10% though, or is it top 10% of every individual store that offers home delivery?
not that it's always good to have home delivery as i usually dont get some of the items that i want (which are usually the ones i really need and have run out of or the kids packed lunches, plus they have missed some items that have been left on the van, or phone up within our time slot to tell us the van has broken down and we wont be getting our shopping).

What happens if you book a delivery spot really close to Xmas, but then various important items (say bread sauce and potatoes) are out of stock so don't get delivered? Presumably you then have a last minute dash to the shops in the Xmash rush anyway?0

Thanks, I just booked for the 22nd. Two minutes later all the slots on that day were gone!
We spend over £100 every week.0
