Used electrical items
I have a number of household elecrical items to dispose of (toaster, breadmaker, iron, kettle, coffe maker etc) as they have been replaced with new products. Does anyone have any idea where I could pass them onto. I don't want to just dump them as it's such a waste. Any ideas anyone? They are all in working order.

There is a charity shop that will take them.
They get them safety checked before they offer them for sale. It is one of the cancer charities but I am not sure which one.
I can find out later and will post it. (Unless someone beats me to it)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

Freecycle is another idea. Just use google for your local area. The good thing is that the people who want your items will come and pick them up from you.0

Womens refuge will be glad of them, either to use or to pass onto women (and children) they are resettling. Your local refuge will probably have a separate admin office that they would give you the location of to drop off at if you ring or they might collect if no separate drop off place available - they came to collect a washing machine we were replacing. Homeless charities resettling vulnerable adults might also take them.0
