  • Unfortunately it was a couple of games... but 40 notes is not to be sniffed at. I hadn't given much thought to flogging furniture. I'll get onto that the moment I land home... running round putting post it notes on anything worth shifting. First gadgets to go on e-bay will be robot dog (our real dog doesn't much like this anyway), a synthesiser (my musical talent can only ever be described as remedial) and a water based cooling system for a PC (just don't ask!).

Hi there hypno, determined, brummie & mummum... welcome and thanks for visiting my illiterate ramblings

Got to nip off now... I'm only 3 Qype reviews off my free £50 voucher!:T
Move over Duncan Bannatyne, Shrimply's making the big bucks now:rotfl:

  • Well, I’m back on the train home and my non-diary continues apace...
Thanks to all the visitors so far, it's always good to feel welcome.

When I got home last night I didn’t get half as much DFWing done as I’d hoped. The Wife, bless her little cotton socks, had been having a miserable day at work so I knocked up a nice little (inexpensive) Italian dish and we chatted about how wonderful it must be to be married to someone as smashing as me over a (cheap) bottle of vino rosso. Outcome: apparently I’m not quite as smashing as I ‘d hoped I was, but I do make a cracking bit of nose bag.

The one thing I did manage to do last night was to sneak in a few posts on here and complete my Qype ninja training, netting my £50 Amazon voucher along the way.

I've been doing a few more DFW bits and bats today. When I was on the train this morning
    1) I managed to complete at least 4 surveys… including a good one about gadgets
    2) Started putting a plan together to hit a few credit card companies (including an evil ex-employer ) with a fee reclaim letter or two.
    3) Sent off the two games I’d sold on Amazon… just got to sit back now and wait for the rest of the stuff to sell.
    4) Sent Matterbox an e-mail to see if I’m getting a box of goodies this weekend or whether I have to wait until next year
    5) Persuaded the guys at work that we should have our regular Friday lunch outing at Pizza Express (thanks MSE for the 2 for 1 vouchers!)
    6) Another team at work sent me a text to get some free grub & a glass of wine for lunch today… I though t it’d be rude not to take them up on the offer.

I actually got my official DFW nerd number today which is great. Now I can feel all official and puff out my chest with pride. “NERD NUMBER 1085 COME IN YOUR TIME IS UP!”

    Shrimply :A
On his way home to make sure The Wife's all cheery, take the dog for a walk a get some post-it notes slapped on floggable furniture.

    2) I’m sorry to a large proportion of the people on here who’s plight with credit cards and loans I feel somewhat responsible. Let me explain a little better… during my career I’ve spent a good 7 years or so working in financial services and my main responsibility was to trawl databases full of names and personal details trying to find people who’d be eager to have credit. Everyone was scored and then those most likely to want credit were heavily marketed to. I’m sorry if you ended up in debt because I’d selected your name. I hasten to add, it’s not a job I do now.

Don't apologise - no one is going to judge!

And weird - I too thought Sean Connery. Something spooky going on here!
