Low virtual memory

My PC seems to be running very slowly at the moment, and I keep getting low virtual memory messages.

I've only recently installed a new hard drive (after the old one was fried by a virus) so it's not as though it's full of years of accumulated rubbish.

Any suggestions what might be causing this and/or what to do about it?

Cheers in advance.

You can increase your cache memory

Right click on My Computer goto Properties, then select the Advanced tab and click on Performance and Settings. Then click on the Advanced Tab (dont worry its a different one to the one you clicked on before) and go down to the Virtual Memory section and click on change. I usually set mine to the maximum I can (it will tell you the max value when you go in).

    Hope this helps
