using cc solely for section 75 protection

What proportion of the purchase would I need to make on the cc to be covered. The shop charge 2% and as its quite a large amount want to keep costs down.

    You could pay as little as £1.00 on the card and the rest by other means. As long as the purchase is between £100 and £30K you're covered.

    It doesn't really seem quite fair on the card company if something went adrift as they'd be jointly liable, but the CCA doesn't discriminate against partial payments.
