Hi - Ehips are advertising at £199 plus VAT on their website - I'm not sure why you say 'around £180 inc VAT' - did they tie you in to the conveyancing? This is one thing to be aware of with some low cost providers (they may trump you on the conveyancing charge).

I'm a small local pack provider, and a founder member of IPPA (Independent Pack Providers Assoc). My costs are similar to Ehip, although I charge no VAT. I also provide a hard copy and electronic version for the EA and will happily liaise directly with them on your behalf.

Hi - no there is no tie in whatsoever. I wouldn't be happy to do that. We actually weren't looking for the cheapest, as I'm aware that some of the v cheap HIP providers aren't as good as they should be. So we went for eHips based on recommendations on here and Moneyfacts, that seemed safest. It was just a nice bonus that they were also cheap!

The price will vary by area, as costs are different for different local authorities I believe. I was quoted approx £180 inc VAT (can't check exact amount right now as I'm at work, but it was within £5 of this figure).

Happy with the speedy service so would definitely recommend them.


Just wanted to add that I know they show a different price on their site, but you actually cannot order online. You have to call to get a quote and pay, and this is the price I was given :-)
