    20th   -now 22nd!!!!!
I never used to be this slow :(

Morning All :hello: (It IS still morning isn't it? I'm not that late) Didn't even manage to post yesterday, so some of this is yesterdays :D

    Today I have/will:
    • persuaded my Dad to give ME the technical books that are heading for charity. I told him they don't sell so well in charity shops, but do better on Amazon and he's delighted to help me out :D In return I'll give him some books that I was going to send to charity shops so he can support his charity (Alzheimers for obvious reasons :o )
    • brought in lunch which is "leftover savoury crumble" - one of my MSE inventions! Leftovers in a cheesy white sauce topped with stale bread turned into crumbs and mixed with grated cheese. More yummy than it sounds.
    • Not collecting my shelving from Tesco until I can combine the journey with another trip to save petrol.
    • charging phone at work.
    • postponing going shopping - shopping less saves a surprising amount of money in my home
    • check Christmas pressie list and see if I can use my emergency presents to fill the gaps.
    • see if the local Indian takes luncheon vouchers as it I'm due to treat friends (they're helping to assemble my shed on Saturday) and have £36 in LV's from surveys. Fortunately my friends won't be insulted :rotfl:
    • 3 rehearsals this week, so my social life has cost me 60p :rotfl:
    Have a lovely day everybody.

Kt I dont think they let folk wanting to train as interpretors do that in prison. You might get free board and lodgings but I dont suppose they pay the mortgage - deep breaths - and then make them a cup of tea BUT make sure to lick the spoon before you start though, more subtle than spitting in it but gives the same effect!!!! (whoops did I say that outloud?!)

    Brilliant!

although that revenge will have to wait. The person responsible is on holiday today (the cheek of it!!) and then they fast every Thursday (they don't even drink anything... I find it slightly strange personally) So Friday the licked spoon revenge begins!!

Even better as I might have caught OHs cold by then and be ready to pass it on.

Good grief, I'm going straight to hell aren't I?!
:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!
I'm back, and this time I mean business!

  • Morning everyone.

I'm a bit down in the dumps about money today and it's only a week after pay day.

My Icesave money is still sat in my current account waiting for Scottish Widows to set up my new account. They might be widows and everything... but the least they could do is hurry up!

    My list for today:

    * Breakfast at home (cat safely in the kitchen this morning), storecupboard dinner and storecupboard soup for tea tonight as I've got a sore throat.
    * Checked online banking. Got mardies on about lack of cash and the pooey interest rates I'm getting on my savings. The rates are only just beating my student loan interest. I'll reassess when my Icesave stuff is sorted.
    * Checked Quidco. Laughed as they're due to pay me 22p in December... woo!
    * Checked survey sites. I need 50 more points from Globaltestmarket to request a cheque so you can guarantee I'll not hear from them for months! Email account is open to do them as they come in.
    * I need to set my new broadband up... that's saving me £7.99 a month.
    * I'm also waiting on a £30 refund to come through on a prezzie I ordered from Littlewoods. They claim it was paid on 19th but it hasn't appeared in my account yet. I'll wait until the end of today (five working days on) and then moan again. I want my £30!
    * Go and spend a fortune on football tickets tonight. I'm one of those people who goes everywhere home and away... my season ticket is paid for but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to justify spending £28 a ticket on away matches, plus beer, food and petrol. I've warned the OH that we're going to have to miss some matches in the New Year.
    * Try and cheer up and find some sparkle from somewhere. The sun is beaming in through my office window but it's also making my freckles come out which I absolutely hate.

I could've happily stayed in bed this morning... hope everyone feels better than me and sorry for whinging :(

  • No chance of being 2nd when I keep sleeping in until 10.30! OH got up with DS last 2 mornings and took him to childcare, I made the most of it as he is abroad at the end of the week and I will have it all (and no childminder).
    I will
    - go to Occupational Health appointment, due back at work next week after 3 months off
    - get letter from GP stating i am fit to return (on light duties)
    - buy OH some slippers as part of his christmas box
    - make something from stores for tea
    - I WILL tidy up, just basic clean of downstairs of house
    - give carpets a good clean in preparation for carpet cleaner hire
    - chase up my consultant appointment
    - Listed 6 books on amazon, hoping for sales, they are textbooks from when I did my masters so hopefully will get a good price for them.

Will update later, hope everyone is OK (not fully read all the posts yet)

    Hello all.

Terrible oversleep this morning despite toddler climbing into bed and waking up, but still managed to make packed lunch. Ate brekky at work though just like every day this week :naughty::naughty::naughty:

    Anyway, it was only 90p.

Last night I went out for a meal and took just £20 cash to pay with it - it stopped me buying too much and when my friend realised I wasn't having coffee because I was on a budget she bought me a lovely brandy coffee! Num.

    Today:
Already checked online banking and done some nifty fiddling so I can afford DS nursery fees next week
Will have to buy ingredients for cakes at lunchtime but will source cheapest I can get round here
Will list some more books on amazon or poss ebay some stuff if I have time tonight

Hey KT listen to Fay, she's there with me on cleaning the loo with someone else's toothbrush!! Licking the spoon's good! So's using the strange lumps of sugar that appear in the sugar container when someone has used the spoon for something else. Should get a healthy dose of coffee in your tea that way :T

Anyway, what are you all doing up and about so early? I'll never be second, wonder if I could be last, but then none of you would notice....

Am wearing turquoise tights today and large sparkly starfish earrings. My list is getting so short I'm embarrassed to post it, must borrow from beloved andan...

    list
    • bought in lunch, forgot breakfast, but permanently borrowed a mince pie which will see me through to lunch
    • checked banking, still have no money:mad:
    • go riding
    • charge phone at work
    • charge camera at work
