    Hi Hypno
Sorry to be a pain but you haven't changed my target total to 35K yet - just another 10K - reason is I already have contingencies to pay off nearly 25K early next year - all stuff on 0% at moment so holding on to savings.
Just got letter from mortgage and will be an extra 200 per month better off after interest rate change:j That's going to help!!

    Extra payment a week:this week £0 / YTD£1,457.55
  • Right sold a book on amazon £9.64 and £2.43 from quidco which is not good as obviously haven't been doing as many daily clicks as I should !
So I can start with £12.07.
I'm still sticking to the payment a day challenge too, love frittering away debt :)

  • Ok, I'm on board, I'm going to try and do £20k and try and make a dent in the debt - now I just need to convince DH we don't need to get the kids a computer

£20k it is! Put a "wanted" note on Freecycle for a computer - you will be amazed at what you get offered! Or ask any big call centres etc to let you know if they have recently updated their systems.....stuff often just gets skipped, and they clear the hard drive back to basics etc

(on a different, unrelated note, I bought a gym ball yesterday!)

    Morning Hypno06 and everyone else.

I'm going to jump in and join this challenge. I have just over £16000 to pay off but I know that I want to try and save too a little bit too. So I am going to go for £20K please. It'll look like I've done really well as I need to update my signature this week once I've made my regular payments.

    Good luck everyone.

Are people going for "money made" or "money paid off"? I was going to use the monthly challenge still for "money made", its short enough so that I can keep my act together .....

  • Karma, personally I'm using this for money paid off, in other words whatever I pay I'll add to total, it's more psycological for me just to see it going down. I don't have a good track record with challenges, so use any mind games I can to keep me on track.

  • Morning all,
I got an e-mail this morning from Quidco saying that I have a payment for £62 on it way!! So as soon as that is in my bank I will pay it off my Abbey credit card.
I have made a £5 payment today for the cigarettes that I didn't smoke yesterday.
Yesterday I did a xmas fete and made £20 profit, which is not a lot but not bad for 2 hours work.
As I see it I am £25 less in debt than I was yesterday!
I hope you are all having a good weekend.
Pay off all your debt by Xmas 2012
    Aim £8200
    Total so far £3700
    Left £4500
