I thought I would post this in case it helps anybody....
My mouse has two buttons and a scroll wheel. I always thought the only thing you could use the wheel for was....guess what?....scrolling.
Turns out I am wrong because it also clicks down like a button (which I did not realise!) If I do this in Firefox whilst holding the cursor over a link then it opens the link in a new tab. Very useful!

LOL.......Been using this for quite a while (also works for IE). It's nice when you discover something new about your computer. Here's another one about the scroll wheel...........
If you hold down the ctrl button, and scroll up or down. This will make the text bigger or smaller on a web page (very handy on some sites). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Here is another useful tip for speeding up search engines in Firefox.
I use Google and I believe this tip works for other search engines.
Go to Google and right click on the search field.
In the msnu that appears select Select a Keyword for this search.
It then asks you to choose a name and keyword.
I chose g as my keyword.
Click OK
Now to do a Google search in Firefox all I have to do is to type in the address bar:
g (or whatever your keyword is) then space and then what I am searching for.
Firefox then takes you straight to the results page.0 -
and if you middle-click a bookmarks folder, it opens all bookmarks in that folder in tabs.
I have my 6 fav. mse boards in a single bookmarks folder on my bookmarks toolbar
I middle-click it to open the 6 boards in tabs.
Then I go to the first board and middle-click any threads I'm interested in (which open that thread at the back)
So after I've gone theough the 6 boards I have around 10 threads loaded up and ready to read.
If I'm ever forced to use IE it takes literally twice the amount of time to read half as many threads.0 -

I use this exclusively - much better than having loads of search plugins.
If you've ever tried to do it with the mse forum search you'll have found you can't.
It won't accept a keyword for the advanced search
and the drop-down seach disappears if you try to right-click it.

there's usually a context-menu key at the bottom-right of your keyboard -

click that instead of right-clicking and then it lets you add a keyword0 -
