I Live alone and am most certainly over the age of 18 so feel that I get to choose to watch whatever i want to watch.
All forms of Parental Control is off on my sky+
So why when wanting to watch a film at certain times of the day I sometimes get the "Enter your pin request"
I Have only recently upgraded to Movies, so am at my wits end as to why this is happening.
If anyone can explain why this is happening, i would be very grateful:cool:
Thanks

I share your frustration but there is nothing you can do.
I can't remember the precise details but it is an OFCOM requirement.
You will learn to live with it.0 -
It's probably the certification of the movie.
Ofcom regulations require parental consent on watching certain films before the watershed.0 -
Got exactly the same problem! with the movie channels. Will only let you watch movie channels after 8. However you can record movies before 8pm.
Don't watch movies during the day anyway...;)

Hey thanks all for your replies.
Now I come to think of it, it does only happen during the daytime. It also happens to me if I watch a recorded program during the day too:rolleyes:
At least I now know what its down to, just proves even more how much control they have over what we watch;)
Its even more annoying atm as my remote has broke and the new 1 hasn't arrived yet, hope it hurries up as I'm running out of room lol
Anyone know how to delete programmes without the remote?

You can remove this - it's via Parental Controls by pressing the Services button on your remote. I don't have the time to check it properly but it's an easily accessible menu and you just allow all programmes at all times.
Never been bothered with a PIN request since.0 -

A PIN is required for many movies and also for manually recorded programmes.
It is a minor frustration that I have learned to live with.0 -

Do you have a friendly neighbour or a friend with Sky+ who would loan you a remote while you delete some programmes?0 -

Dont worry about deleting them, just keep watching them. If`disk space management` in the sky+setup menu is set to automatic, it will delete programmes as needed to make space for new ones.
First to go are the oldest watched programmes then the oldest unwatched ones. I think anything set to keep will be safe.

I have all Parental controls set to "Off" but I am still required to enter a PIN for certain programmes at certain times.

EDIT [previous post deleted]: I've checked my settings and this is what I have:
Services > 3 Parental Control > 3 Viewing Restrictions:
Use the red button to toggle all the various categories on or off (turn them off - unlocked)
Services > 5 Other Controls PIN on pre-watershed playing set to OFF
And Bob's been my uncle for as long as I can remember.
Hope this helps.0
