Skipped Direct Debit Payments???

Okay.. i pay all my cc by direct debit (the minium) so I know I won't miss them and then make additional payments by online banking.
I had a £11 minium payment due out today, but since the billing I have made 2x £150 payments. I've looked at my account today and theyv'e not taken the £11 is it a mess up? or because I made the additional payments after billing they thought that was my payment? Has anyone ever had this? I'll leave the money there just incase but normally they run like clockwork!

DD's are 'called' around 5 days prior to the payment due date. If you pay an amount over the minimum payment amount between the statement date and 5 days before the payment due date, then quite often *BUT NOT ALWAYS* the DD is not taken. It's always best to check with the provider if paying twice will create a problem with your current account.0

Yeh, Capital One do that with me. I have a DD setup to take the minimum to cover myself bu then pay the balance in full a week or two before that date and they simply don't take the DD. However, I have heard of other companies that still take the DD no matter what, but can't confirm this.PMA - Positive Mental Attitude
