aerial for dab radio ?

Options
I've got a dab radio already which has an aerial socket on the back which I have attached to my TV aerial and it works fine and I have 50 plus channels.
I also had a portable DAB radio for Christmas which only has a telescopic aerial and picks up virtually no channels........Here's my question to you very intelligent techies :-
Is there any way I can attach an external aerial to it as I'm not going to use it as a portable. It will stay in one place in the kitchen.
I can get an aerial lead to it, but if it's possible where do you attach it ?
I tried touching the aerial from the other one onto the telescopic aerial but all it did was make it crackle.
Please help !!!!
Thanks
bill

Often the telescopic aerial simply unscrews, to reveal an F-type connector that you can connect your downlead to!

If it helps, DAB antennas w/10m coax are £12 in B&Q.
