Secret Santa....

Not much use for male boss I think, but I did secret Santa for £5 at work and got a red Christmas lantern from Pier for about £4 as they had 20% off. It had (white) marshmallows in it. I took out one packet of marshmallows to use in a friends Christmas box, added in 2 candle holders (30p each from Pier, again with the 20% off) and added in a couple of candy canes.
Nice red and white themed Christmas gift for £5. Hurrah!!
For the person with the male boss - Play.com are doing gifts for £5 again and some of them would be good for this sort of thing. Comedy mugs and the like. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips but I went into BHS last week on 20% off day and got a Jack Daniels miniature with a glass and a few chocs reduced from £10 to £5 then a further £1 (20%) off so well chuffed...now THAT wouldn't offend anyone (unless they were TT!)
The Play.com ideas looked good though...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Has just finished a degree at uni, is our IT man in work :-s. So far I picked up a bank in woolies today for 50p that says soemthing along the lines of saving for my first million.

I've never heard of Secret Santa's for a tenner..I'm not sure about anyone else but if you're not immediate family or a partner in our family, you won't get anything for more than a fiver so I'd definitely not be happy spending that on someone I only work with.
What about a nice pair of slippers or a book chosen by you. Or a series of Friends. You can get them for around £9 and they're a great pick me up..Choose series 7

I always do a "mini hamper.
Small bottle of wine, bar of chocolate, smellies and a candle.
This year the person I am buying for loves shoes so I am getting some of Sainsburys Chocolate Stilettos and a mini bottle of Rose wine.
A little bit of everything I always think is a good idea as i'm sure there will be something that the person likesIt's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0 -
My team at work does Secret Santa with a ten pound budget.I've never heard of Secret Santa's for a tenner..I'm not sure about anyone else but if you're not immediate family or a partner in our family, you won't get anything for more than a fiver so I'd definitely not be happy spending that on someone I only work with.
I put aside twenty pence a week to pay for it.[/lie]0 -

Yes I have decided to go down that route, a bit of everything in a small basket all done up, it will do the job!!!0 -
Hi, I bought a makeup bag (black and gold) very pretty and trendy from Next - it was £4 and I love it ... especially when I opened it when I got home and realised it has leopard print lining inside! I bought the makeup bag for secret santa and also a glitter eyeliner set with 3 different coloured glitter eyeliners for £5 from Next. I think this will make a lovely secret santa and £1 under our office budget of £10.00! Woohoo! I usually go down the mini hamper route but fancied a change this year!Mummy to a beautiful 4 month old princess! x0
