Secret Santa....

We are doing a Secret Santa at work (you have to buy a present for one person in the office), but the person I have picked out of the hat has only just started working there. The present would be for a lady, early 30s. I have no idea what she likes, our budget is £10. Any ideas?

How about:-
diary
wall calendar
bath bubbles etc
compact mirror
china mug / cup filled with sweeties0 -
Wait a bit longer and you'll get something really nice for £10 as prices decrease before Christmas. New makeup bag, selection of nail polishes, purse?" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Go to boots and pick out 3 items from the 342 that cost £5 each and then enjoy the points on your card. And shell get 3 sets of smellies or whatever else is on the 342 and suitable and your gift will look good
OR
Ask someone to drop the secret santa into conversation - a place i used to work at did secret santa and people used to drop hints all the time for that price you could get a dvd/cd that she wants etcLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

I am going to 'borrow' your thread to ask the same question - but our budget is £5.00.
To make it even more difficult I have to buy for my male boss and I am a female BUT it appears 'jokey' presents are acceptable ...nevertheless I don't want to be TOO rude!

Treats from Lush make a lovely secret santa present. I love all of their bombs and bubble bars but always feel guilty spending so much on one wonderful bath bomb. My DH would let me have anything I want it's me that feels bad about it so anything from there really is a treat.0

Ok so I'm becoming a terrible curmudgeon in my old age but I really dont see the point in things like Secret Santa.
Why dont you suggest you all put your £5s or £10s together and get a charity gift instead?
