Oystercard problems...

This is a very simple query, however I'm having trouble getting it across to the Oystercard Helpline so figured I'd check I have the facts right...

On a single tube journey I touched-in and touched-out.

The card reader bleeped and the barriers opened to let me through on entry and exit.

Yet from my journey history online, the oystercard has been debited by £4.00 (entry) and has not registered a touch-out (exit).

I contacted the Oystercard "Helpline" and was informed "this is correct".

Entry was about 6pm, exit about 45 mins later (does that sound rude? :o).

Oyster journey history online definitely shows no exit at Paddington but the barriers opened for me when I touched-out!

no not rude but i had a similar issue and as my exit was after 12am it counted as the 'following day' and didnt show up for another day but still was in the days capping.

did you immediately swipe after someone else and maybe you went through on their exit/entry?!

i say you get back to them explaining, the only thing is proving it... but a letter should see a refund and maybe even compo :)

i had this problem on thursday.

had £3.50 on my card as i was using zones 1-3 with ypr loaded. in at zone 1 and noticed the screen said 'enter' when usually it displays an amount. exit at zone 3 and it says the same... later i enter @ zone 3 and again it says the same. i exit at london bridge and all of a sudden it displays -40p. odd but anyway i check my account online on friday and it says -2.50.

i thought maybe it didnt register my top up before my journeys, but then wouldnt i have been blocked when trying to enter originally in zone 1?!

anyway i check online today and it says i have 40p... it capped at £3.10 even though i was using zones 1-3 where the cap is 3.50...and it doesnt display my exit @ L.bridge even though it was before midnight....

it shows entry - exit - entry

    ODD!!!!!!
