how to use the x-lite for voip

hello
i have joined the sipgate but still i'm not able to use the x-lite on my computer.Actually my internet is coming via d-link 904 adsl wireless router/modem.i have done everything which is mentioned in x-lite help on the sipgate.co.uk but still it is not working.Whenever i am opening the x-lite -it displays detecting firewall( NAT).Even i disable the router firewall still it is not going through.May i know how to sort out the router port forwarding or any suggestions for the alternative software.Any suggestions!
