recieved via email a .tif image and i need to forward it on as a jpg image. can anyone tell me how to do this, if poss?

Assuming you're using Windows, open it in MS Paint and save it as a JPEG.0

'this is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported'0 -
I had this problem a while back. I think (and it's going back quite a while) I right clicked on the file and went to the line which says 'Open With' and selected one of the programs. From what I can remember I had to open it as a Microsoft Document Imaging File (it's part of Microsoft Office).

Either of the programs linked to in this thread should do it. Irfanview might be a bit easier to use.0

went for irfanview in the end as it was only a 1.5mb download compared to a 15mb gimp download.
