Steam Generator Irons

Can anyone tell me if it is worth shelling out for a steam generator iron.
They tend to be over £100 so don't really want to buy one if they are not fantastically better than a normal iron.
I have one reserved at Argos for tomorrow so any advice about whether to get one or not will be gratefully received.

I have the one from Argos that is subsituted (The tefal one) Just home with it today and I have to say I'm very impressed with it , SO much quicker than normal ironing and almost effortless.
