Steam Generated Irons

Options
Can I ask if anyone has one.

Argos have one half price 114.00,which is still a lot of money for an iron.

Can I ask if they are any good and really do the job any better than you standard steam iron.

Thanks

    See here for opinions.....http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=128526&highlight=steam+generator

Slightly embarrassed to admit it's still in the box.......what can I say, I've been busy. ;)

Was going to try it out later today.

I have the same one as aliasojo and have used it twice!!!I think its fab.It makes ironing things like shirts a breeze. The only thing I would say is that the actual iron seems a little on the bulky side but I can live with that.
  • (Blokey Admission) I have one (Tefal) and its great, once my jeans heard it going they straightened themselves, they are lighter and better than ordinary irons but you will need a mesh topped ironing board too.

After doing a post ages ago , I took the plunge and got one. It is fabarooney and I truly love the way it glides through all that yucky ironing at a speed of knots. I have a Morphy Richards one from Argos approx £75. If you get one you wont regret it -trust me . Sounds like a bargain , the one Glad has found . Good luck x

I have the Tefal Express (2911 I think) and it's great, I wouldn't be without it!

    Happy ironing :D
  • I have the one from Argos that is subsituted (The tefal one) mentioned in this thread : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=128649&highlight=steam+generator Just home with it today and I have to say I'm very impressed with it , SO much quicker than normal ironing and almost effortless. I am really pleased with it!

I had one but it died on me last year, It was great and goes for ages without having to top up with water. Thought about replacing it, the only thing that put me off is as someone already mentioned............its bulky and storage was a pain, but other than that they get the thumbs up from me
