My landlord has lost his case at the possession hearing

Buy it at auction when it goes up.
As long as you're there it will have to be sold with tenant which in most cases will lower the price. So you'll get a bargain..
Might work. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -
Followed the very helpful advice of checking with the land registry, my landlord is still showing as the owner with Kensington Mortgages as the lender. Does anyone know at what stage of a repossession the information would change?0
-
Not until after the repossession.
Did the Land Registry details show the address of the borrower as the address of the property?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If you get the landlord's notice of repossession through a letter addressed to 'the occupier' that is pretty good evidence this wasn't a BTL mortgage. Sorry, it's not a pretty position to be in.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000

If I could get the mortgage company to actually talk to me I might be able to get some clarification as to whether they are going to honour the contract or turf me out! Ive been advised by Shelter not to stop paying rent as then I could get sued and it will also affect my ability to rent future properties. What I have started doing is paying it in stages throughout the month so I am never too far ahead with my rent.
I have found another property but have been told by the letting agents that should I move out before my contract ends I am still liable for the remainder of the rent and this stands until I receive an eviction notice.0 -
This just stinks. If it were me I'd go to my MP's surgery and insist that this is an appalling way to treat tenants and it's about time something was done about it. Either they should inform you what's going on or let you go. Go bang some desks!!!
Talking of banging some desks Radio 4's Moneybox programme have just been round to interview us for their saturday lunchtime show so hopefully they may be able to make some waves!0 -
