You can actually heat pies and pasties up by wrapping them in tin foil and wedging them somewhere secure on the engine then taking them out when your peckish - i have done this many times in a landrover!

what about using a food flask? you can keep things like hotdogs warm for hours inside them.

one day paddys in the the shop when the assistant asks if he requires any help.
"i was wondering what the blue thing is and what does it do?" replies paddy.
"Well sir thats a vacuum flask and it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold sir"
"wow the lads at work will be impressed with this i'll take one"
The next day at work paddy pulls out his flask and straight away gets asked what hes got.
"this here is a flask and it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold"
"wow thats good paddy what you got in there then"
"Two cups of tea and a choc-ice
