if you're on XP then try a system restore back to a previous day0

It sounds like debugging mode is on, you want it off.
what OS are you running? XP SP2?
To disable Dr. Watson
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug
NOTE: Steps three and four are optional, but they necessary if you want to restore the default use of Dr. Watson.
3. Click the AeDebug key, and then click Export Registry File on the Registry menu.
4. Enter a name and location for the saved registry file, and then click Save.
5. Delete the AeDebug key.0 -

Try booting into safe mode (F8) at startup, does it do the same thing?
Have you done a virus and spyware scan - see other threads for options if you don't have any software - There are various freebies available, Ad-aware from lavasoft.com and avast virus scanner etc..
Do you have zonealarm installed, Was that message def zclient, you could try uninstalling, and re-installing the latest version of zonealarm from zonelabs.com if you have it installed.
Failing that, the nearest thing to a system restore on 98, is to boot up into safe mode command prompt, and type scanreg /restore, which should list the last 5 backups of your registry with dates, choose a date before the problem started, then reboot. You only have 5 days from when the problem started to do this though, as the backups get overwritten.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
